Types of Dent Repair
There are 2 different types of dent repair procedures. The size, extent, depth, and location of a dent determine which process to be used for repairing the specific dent on your vehicle.
- Paintless Dent Repair (P.D.R.) is utilized when the paint has not been scratched, chipped, or is peeling over the dented area. These dents can be repaired without having to paint the body panel.
- Painted Dent Repair is utilized when the paint on the dented area has been scratched, chipped, or is peeling. This method is utilized when P.D.R. is not possible and the body panel needs to be repaired and painted in order to maintain the original factory color and appearance.
